Head Professor: Everett Holmes
Details: Gracie Jiu-Jitsu New Braunfels is headed by Certified Gracie Instructor Everett Holmes. Instructor Holmes has had a passion for Gracie Jiu-Jitsu® and it's applications on and off the mat since 2004, studying Rorion Gracie (eldest child of the late Grand Master Helio Gracie) videos in between studying for college exams. Eventually, he took the plunge and attended seminars under the tutelage of Professor Ryron Gracie, (eldest son of Rorion) starting in 2011. He earned his Official Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Blue Belt at the world headquarters in Torrance, CA, and immediately enlisted in their rigorous Instructor Certification Program, under the guidance of Master Rorion, and Professors Ryron & Rener Gracie - completed in July 2015. Everett is one of the few Certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy Instructors living in Texas, and is passionate about sharing the "Gentle Art" with the community of New Braunfels and its surrounding cities in South Central Texas. Outside of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, he is a practicing radiologic technologist and enjoys supporting independent film-makers, musicians, and artists.
